ACNE SCARS Acne scars are usually the result of inflamed blemishes caused by skin pores engorged with excess oil, dead skin cells and bacteria. The pore swells, causing a break in the follicle wall. Shallow lesions are usually minor and heal quickly. But if there is a deep break in the wall of the pore, the infected material can spill out into surrounding tissue, creating deeper lesions. The skin attempts to repair these lesions by forming new collagen fibres. These repairs usually aren’t as smooth and flawless as the original skin. Acne scars often become more prominent with age as the skin loses collagen.
PRIMARY REASON FOR TREATING ACNE SCARS INCLUDE:
Promotion of better skin health
We use the latest technology to handle acne scars. Alma laser is used by our trained professionals to treat the clients. Alma’s non-invasive acne scar treatments diminish the appearance of both depressed and raised acne scars by remodelling the deeper layers of the skin, increasing the formation of healthy new collagen and evening out the skin surface.
Stretch marks is a general term referring to thin, narrow grooves or channels, or a thin line or band especially if several of them are parallel or close together. Stretch marks are caused by tearing of the dermis. This is often from the rapid stretching of the skin associated with rapid growth or rapid weight changes. Stretch marks may also be influenced by hormonal changes associated with puberty, pregnancy, bodybuilding, or hormone replacement therapy.
These stretch marks being prominent in nature, becomes a big concern with the affected person. New and effective laser technology has been developed to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. We use Alma’s RF and laser-based treatments that improves the colour and skin texture associated with stretch marks, with minimal pain and downtime. The treatments replace the older scarred tissue with new collagen and elastic fibres, minimizing the appearance of stretch marks and leaving patients with smoother, better-looking skin.
Laser stretch mark removal is highly effective in most cases. As with any other technique, success is dependent on the prevalence and age of the stretch marks in question – older and more serious stretch marks are more difficult to treat. Patients often require as many as 10 treatments to completely remove stretch marks.
Scars are of different types based on their shape and texture. For instance, macular or flat scars are those which are dark brown or reddish in color. Rolling scars are those with gentle sloping edges and they are sunken below the surrounding skin. Then, there are boxcar scars which have sharp edges and are sunken like craters, whereas the ice pick scars appear like deep pits looking like large open pores. There are also papular scars and keloidal scars but most of the people are affected with a combination of rolling scars, ice pick scars and boxcar scars.
The side effects are quite minimal such as swelling, mild redness, and peeling of the skin. This can be managed by applying dermatologist prescribed topical antibacterial cream, sunscreen lotion, and moisturizer.
Secret RF equipment uses micro-needles which are minimally invasive to deliver precisely controlled heat energy into the deeper layers of the skin dermis directly. This heat stimulates new collagen production, and also remodels and repairs elastin fibers, thus fading the stretch marks effectively.
