A person may opt for removing an unwanted Tattoo due to several reasons. It may be a social, cultural, physical, psychological reason or due to any kind of allergic reaction developed overtime. The Q-Switched Nd: YAG Laser is a type of laser developed to remove blue, brown, black and possibly other colours of tattoo pigment and certain brown pigment growths.
Treatment of the tattoo or pigment will be done in stages. Initially a test dose may be done to determine the necessary energy settings of the laser. Once this dose is determined, the entire tattoo or pigmentation will be treated at the next visit. The specifically designed lasers helps to remove tattoos by breaking up the pigment composition of the tattoos with a high intensity light beam, clearing the skin and restoring the normal colour and texture.
The number of treatment with the Q-Switched Nd: YAG Laser will vary depending on the lesion, size, location, colour and age of the patient and age of the tattoo. Most likely a total of three to seven visits/treatments or more will be necessary.
Keep the treated area dry for 24 hours.
Clean the treated area post 24 hours as advised by your dermatologist.
Birthmark is a non-cancerous irregularity in the skin of a newborn. A birthmark is an identification mark and may fade away naturally as age advances or stay the same or may even increase in size.
For treatment of birthmarks we use Q switched laser. It is a customized light wave that is suitable for the particular coloration of the birthmark and is used at a particular frequency. After several treatment sessions, the laser breaks down the coloration of the mark so that it fades away and blends in with the surrounding skin, without leaving any scars behind.
After the treatment, the affected region of skin should be kept away from sunlight and UV rays. Sunscreen should be applied before stepping out. Multiple sessions ranging from 8-20 may be required based on the type of mark treated.
We are equipped with the adequate technology and trained experts to serve you with the best experience. If you need any help on this matter you can comfortably and confidently bank upon us.
Most professional tattoos take 5-10 sessions while home-made tattoos require 4-6 sessions. Sessions are usually spaced at intervals of 4-8 weeks. The number of treatments depends on a variety of parameters like the ink used, its location, age, etc. After each session, the tattoo keeps fading.
Minor discomfort may be experienced but that is limited to a mild stinging effect. At LA SKIN, a topical anesthetic cream that we use at the start of the procedure makes you feel more relaxed. Tattoo removal is not designed to hurt you and we take extra care to make sure you feel relaxed.
The chance of scarring is minimal with the advanced Q-Switched Nd YAG lasers. People report of either hypo-pigmentation (loss of pigment) or hyper-pigmentation (excess pigment). This depends on the skin type and different skin types respond differently. But this fades overtime, with the original skin tone returning gradually.
Laser treatment effectively removes almost all tattoos. Currently, over 100 types of tattoo inks are used with none of them regulated. The results vary depending on the variations in tattoo sizes and the concentration of colors used. Black ink is effectively removed while red, dark blue, pink, and warmer colors respond well. Results with some dyes like white, yellow, orange and green, fluorescent or acrylic dyes are variable.
LA SKIN uses the latest equipment and every session is conducted by well trained and highly experienced therapist. Personal care and undivided attention is the strength of LA SKIN and the team believes in making sure you are at your best comfort.
